| The Dutch Produce Association - sponsor of the Chicory Challenge - has been offering a top prize of £5,000 (plus a second prize of £1,000 and a third prize of £500) for the best new chicory recipe or an innovative new twist on an old recipe. We had more than 100 entries from teams or individuals by the closing date of 12 October. |

| Amateur chef Susie Carter from Winchester won the £5,000 top prize which will be donated to Hampshire Fare. A team from Waddesdon Church of England School in Aylesbury won the £1,000 second prize and a team from Acklam Grange School in Middlesbrough won the £500 third prize. |
