The Chicory Challenge is sponsored by the Dutch Produce Association (DPA) which represents the leading chicory growers in The Netherlands.
The DPA was founded in 1997 to represent the interests of the Dutch fruit and vegetable sector, at both national and European level. It has ten members, all of which are growers’ co-operatives or similar organisations.
The DPA works with the national government in The Hague and at the European Commission in Brussels to influence decisions on matters such as food safety, the harmonisation of legislation and commercial policy.
